July, 10, 2001 In case you didn't believe it, Amazon.com did post pricing for Windows XP four about 36 hours on July 9 and 10, 2001. According to Amazon.com, Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade is $100, Windows XP Home Edition is $200, Windows XP Professional Upgrade is $200, and Windows XP Professional is $300. Bowing to pressure from Microsoft, Amazon yanked the pages on July 10. Notice the Windows XP Home Edition box is green. The Pro version is blue.
