The pricing shown is for a 468-by-60-pixel size banner on the Web archive page. A larger leaderboard size is available for the website at $40 more per issue.

Scot’s Newsletter has over 48,000 subscribers and is currently guaranteeing 44,000 successful deliveries for each advertisement. The term CPM stands for Cost Per Thousand successful deliveries. (The term CPM is widely used in the publishing industry; the "M" refers to the Roman numeral for 1,000.)

About the Advertising Positions
There are five available ad positions in Scot's Newsletter:

Premium Position
The default placement of the Premium Position ad has moved from the very top of the newsletter to just below the Table of Contents and before the first article. We have found this placement increases click-throughs for some ads, especially in the HTML and Web versions of the newsletter and on smaller screens. (See example.)

You have the option to request the very top of the page as the location for your ad. Just let us know that's what you want.

In the Premium Position, you have the option of displaying the larger 728-by-90-pixel leaderboard banner ad on the website archive only for the additional fee of $40 per issue of newsletter. The Scot's Newsletter HTML edition sent via email cannot currently accept larger than 468-by-60-pixel ad banners. The optional leaderboard size must be placed at the very top of Web page.

The Premium Position Text Ad is allowed one extra line of of ad copy, for a total of 8 lines.

Ad Position 2
The second ad position appears before the second or third editorial section of the newsletter, depending on editorial length. Roughly, this position is about one-quarter of the way into the newsletter. (See HTML example.)

This position is limited to 468-by-60-pixel ad banner images or HTML text ads on the Web-archival page.

Ad Position 3
The third ad position appears before the fourth, fifth, or sixth editorial section of the newsletter, depending on length. Roughly, this is about the middle of each issue. (See HTML example.)

This position is limited to 468-by-60-pixel ad banner images or HTML text ads on the Web-archival page.

Ad Position 4
The fourth ad position always appears just above one of these popular sections of the newsletter — Tip of the Month, Link of the Month, or Program of the Month. It appears roughly three-quarters of the way into the newsletter. (See HTML example.)

This position is limited to 468-by-60-pixel ad banner images or HTML text ads on the Web-archival page.

Ad Position 5
The fifth ad position always appears at the very end of the newsletter newsletter.

In the 5th position, the 728-by-90-pixel ad banner size is available for the website archive only for an additional $40 per issue of newsletter. The Scot's Newsletter HTML email edition is limited to 468-by-60-pixel ad banners.
